An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment. You will be working in a specialist care home providing rehabilitation care for individuals with acquired brain injuries or progressive neurological conditions.

This care home is part of a leading healthcare provider, renowned for its exceptional care and commitment to patient well-being.

To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing complex cases, taking into account cultural and linguistic differences, and developing effective strategies.
  • Demonstrating specialist knowledge in communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Contributing to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users' mental capacity and ability to give informed consent, with support from senior colleagues.
  • Assisting service users to maximise their independence in decision-making and communicating their wishes.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia, as well as experience of working with families. Evidence of continuing Professional Development and a can-do attitude are also highly desirable.

The successful Speech and Language Therapist will receive a competitive salary of £38,000 per annum, working 30 hours a week. In return, you will receive a range of benefits, including:
