As a Senior Electromagnetic Specialist, you will play a key role in defining electromagnetic requirements and undertaking specialist testing of systems, sub-systems, and components. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our experienced team and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Specify and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platform or programme.
  2. Advise design teams on EMC requirements and design considerations.
  3. Liaise with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
  4. Design and implement system mitigation to meet EMC standards.
  5. Mentor and coach Engineers within the team.

Requirements

  • BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional registration at Chartered level or evidence of working towards this.
  • Experience of design for EMC compliance.
  • Knowledge of EMC Defence Standards would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience and ability to coach others in a team.

What We Offer

This is a salaried position with a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to work in a hybrid and flexible environment, with multiple locations available including Cumbria, East Riding, Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey, and Bristol. A UK SC Clearance is required due to the nature of the role and industry.
