About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored support to students with SEN, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives and develop their skills.
  • Contribute to classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks, ensuring a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Support students in developing independence and confidence in their abilities, fostering a growth mindset.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach.
Requirements
  • A degree in Education or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with SEN, providing a supportive and understanding environment.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students, ensuring a fair and equitable learning experience.
