About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Work closely with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives and promote academic progress.
  • Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Support students in developing independence and confidence in their abilities, promoting a growth mindset and self-advocacy skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans and ensure seamless support for students.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Education or a related field.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with SEN, providing a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Be committed to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students, upholding the values of GSL Education.
