About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Business Development Professional to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who excels in building strong relationships with customers and driving business growth.

Job Description:
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key customers, including national accounts and OEM manufacturing businesses.
  • Support the processing of large orders via phone, email, and EDI.
  • Collaborate with the customer to ensure timely delivery and stock availability by preparing reports and attending meetings.
  • Assist on major projects for prominent UK merchants.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on businesses, individuals, and industry trends to identify new sales opportunities and enhance existing customer services.
  • Administer all aspects of customer accounts as required.
  • Work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to book in orders and manage inventory.
  • Log progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain open communication with customers throughout projects.
  • Contribute to sales goals and strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to manage risks, projects, and product development.
  • Utilize Phocas to analyze customer spend and margin data.
  • Over time, meet clients in person or virtually using Microsoft Teams.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong account management capabilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage projects efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
