About the Role

We are looking for a volunteer reader to work with an individual with a visual impairment. As a volunteer reader, you will play a vital role in helping this person learn to read and reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week and have a good sense of humour, love to chat, and be a good listener.

This opportunity is based at our service in Maidstone and requires the ability to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Assist an individual with visual impairment in learning to read
  • Commit to a minimum of 1 hour per week
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Have a good sense of humour, love to chat, and be a good listener
