SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with Primary and Secondary-aged pupils in Kent. As a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for creating an inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.
The ideal candidate will have GCSE level qualifications in maths and English and a background check via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Experience working with individuals with special educational needs is beneficial but not essential. Understanding of SEN support strategies and knowledge of different learning disabilities are essential.
The estimated salary for this role is £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment for our team members.
About the Job Description
- Supporting children with reading, writing, and other academic activities.
- Providing additional support to students with special needs or international language learners.
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, including setting up classrooms and organising materials.
- Encouraging and supporting students' emotional and educational development.
- Helping teachers mark and correct student work.
- Contributing to school trips and activities.
