We are seeking a motivated and patient individual to join our team as a Volunteer Literacy Coach. As a Volunteer Literacy Coach, you will be working closely with an adult with a visual impairment, providing one-to-one reading support to help them improve their literacy skills.

**Job Description:**

  • Provide regular reading sessions to an adult with a visual impairment.
  • Develop a supportive relationship with the individual, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment.
  • Use various reading materials, such as books, magazines, and newspapers, to promote literacy development.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistency and continuity of support.

**Requirements:**

  • Enthusiasm and patience when working with adults with visual impairments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Reliability and punctuality in attending scheduled reading sessions.
