Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Asset Integrity Team at the ConocoPhillips Norsea Terminal in Teesside. As Fabrication Technical Authority, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a large FM term contract, overseeing a team of contract personnel and ensuring compliance with site standards and legislation.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on fabrication-related matters, evaluating and managing responses to technical queries.
- Lead project management of a portfolio of fabrication-based projects, developing scope of work documents and evaluating tender packages.
- Conduct audits and readiness reviews to ensure projects align with key delivery milestones and comply with the project delivery process.
- Liaise with the Operations team to ensure permits and operational controls are in place, and monitor contractor compliance with site working requirements and safety performance.
- Degree-educated in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably with chartered status.
- Strong experience in fabrication and mechanical work, with a proven track record in cost management and contract ownership.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications and SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Able to adapt to unexpected challenges and shifting priorities, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
