This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer to develop and progress in a dynamic environment where your efforts and talent are recognised. You will have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects with Blue-Chip Developers in a friendly and vibrant team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed design calculations and sketches in accordance with project requirements, utilising a sound knowledge of technical engineering design relevant to the role.
  • Liaise with Senior Engineers and Engineering Technicians regarding design and drawing as part of a dynamic team that believes in absolute delivery.
  • Work in conjunction with a Mechanical Associate to survey, design, specify, and contract administer projects.
  • Carry out detailed Mechanical Building Services Design Engineering on new build and refurbishment construction projects.
  • Assist senior staff in feasibility studies, concept, and scheme design stages.
  • Attend design team meetings and inspect mechanical building services systems.
  • Undertake Mechanical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings, and specifications for projects.
  • Select and specify products, equipment, and installation standards relating to Mechanical services.
  • Attend project design meetings, technical meetings, value engineering workshops, and risk workshops as required.
Requirements:
  • A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and experience commensurate with the underpinning and knowledge requirements for Incorporated Engineer aligned to either IMechE or CIBSE requirements.
  • Ability to design principle mechanical systems taken from a concept level of design through to detailed design (BSRIA BG6 Stage 4A) including:
    • Chilled water
    • Domestic hot and cold water systems / Public Health
    • Heating systems
    • Use of Hevacomp / IES or equivalent
    • Ability to view and interpret drawings in AutoCAD
    • Understanding of Building Regulations Part L compliance associated with the systems above
    • Use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
