Academic Skills Coach

Join Gi Group as an Academic Skills Coach and make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of our students.
About the RoleIn this role, you will teach and assess students on various courses, developing skills for future careers and providing exceptional education through outstanding teaching and preparation.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to students across a range of courses, with a focus on planning, preparation, and evaluation.
- Develop specific vocational work and employability skills in students, preparing them for higher studies and the workforce.
- Provide pre- and on-course guidance to support learners to successful outcomes.
- Oversee the academic and pastoral care of a group or groups, arranging support requirements with the Curriculum Team Leader and Progress Tutor.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An appropriate teaching qualification and Assessor Award, or a willingness to work towards these qualifications.
- The ability to deliver to students at all levels and abilities, using flexible and innovative methods of delivery.
- The capacity to transfer practical experience into useful learning activities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- A Level 3 vocational qualification and industry experience.
