Job Title: Personal Assistant for a Young Gentleman

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Personal Assistant for a young gentleman with a progressive muscle wasting condition. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the individual with daily living activities, providing support and encouragement to enhance their independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and mobility
  • Accompany the individual on trips, including driving their wheelchair-accessible van
  • Support the individual in accessing community and social activities, such as football and music
  • Encourage the individual to engage in other social activities to promote their independence and wellbeing
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license holder
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs
  • Understanding of the need for confidentiality and respect for the individual's privacy
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Similar interests, such as gaming or football
Terms and Conditions:
  • Rate of pay: £11.68 per hour
  • Hours and times of work: 24 hours per week, weekdays
  • Annual holiday entitlement: equivalent to 5.6 consecutive weeks
  • Free Care Skills training provided
