Job Description

As Deputy Head of Training, you will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the effective delivery of quality housing and support services within Exeter & East Devon Mental Health Services. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day operational delivery of St Andrews House and St Saviours House, providing effective line management for delegated frontline staff, and implementing local/service specific procedures and good practice in service management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Service Manager to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Day-to-day operational delivery of St Andrews House and St Saviours House
  • Provide effective line management for delegated frontline staff
  • Implement local/service specific procedures and good practice in service management
  • Undertake regular audits and report any issues or concerns to the Service Manager
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of managing a team of people, including recruitment, induction, probationary reviews, supervision, and appraisals
  • Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths, and talents
  • Have good knowledge and working experience of working with individuals with complex mental health and supporting adults at risk
  • Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help clients
