We are seeking a skilled Audit Risk Specialist to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs).

Estimated salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will assist in delivering risk-based internal audit reviews for Sandwell Council and external clients. This includes developing audit programmes, system records, and statistical data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help deliver risk-based internal audit reviews for Sandwell Council and external clients.
  • Develop audit programmes, system records, and statistical data.
  • Assist in investigations into suspected fraud and irregularities.
  • Discuss and agree audit review findings and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • AAT or PIIA qualification with 3 years accounting or audit experience, or 5 years audit or accounting experience.
  • Practical knowledge of modern internal auditing and risk management techniques.
  • Ability to prepare and carry out internal audit reviews within agreed timescales.
  • Write accurate and concise reports summarising internal audit review outcomes.
