Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Prodrive Advanced Technology, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems that meet the company's high standards. This will involve working closely with other disciplines to integrate and develop engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in designing mechanical components and systems
  • Proficiency in major CAD systems, producing detailed drawings to a high standard with the correct application of GD&T
  • Strong theoretical and practical approach to engineering solutions
  • Ability to work closely with other disciplines and adapt to new areas outside personal knowledge
  • Preparation of BOM's and other project documents to fulfill project and process requirements
  • Experience in supporting the development of junior team members

Desirable Skills

  • Background in automotive or aerospace design
  • Experience in dealing directly with customers and suppliers
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work with skilled technicians to support the build and development of parts, sub-assemblies, and vehicle builds
  • Experience of rig and vehicle testing for development and sign off
  • Knowledge of simulation tools and using them to accelerate development
