Riverside Recruitment is seeking a Labour Planning Specialist to join their team in Carlisle. As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring customer demand, labour, and training are kept in balance in the short, medium, and long term.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will report into the site Supply Chain Manager, providing daily and weekly labour reconciliation and developing a Labour Management system and process. Additionally, they will support training plans to mitigate any skills issues and deliver ongoing training plans to meet budgeted volumes.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Ensuring the site has the right labour to meet budgeted volumes
  2. Implementing a process for reviewing labour establishment
  3. Managing Overtime spend vs agreed budget
  4. Providing daily and weekly labour reconciliation
  5. Developing a Labour Management system and process
  6. Supporting training plans to mitigate any skills issues and deliver ongoing training plans to meet budgeted volumes
  7. Producing a process plan that minimises overtime and mitigates idle time
  8. Managing relationships with Agency providers
  9. Agreeing holiday group sizes and communications
  10. Managing 3 direct reports, coaching, and providing development opportunities within your team with 1-2-1's


What We're Looking For:
We require an experienced individual with a proven track record of engaging with key stakeholders at all levels, preferably from a FMCG company or a Recruitment Agency background with experience of recruiting within the manufacturing sector.

To be considered for this role, you'll need to have business/commercial awareness and understanding of the business drivers and factors that impact related KPI's. A highly analytical individual with experience in labour planning, preferably within a manufacturing environment, would be ideal.
