Artists and Projects Coordinator

A commercial art gallery based in London, established in 2013, representing artists and collectives with a focus on expanded conceptual critique and contemporary painting.
We are seeking an experienced Artist and Projects Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working with artists in production and exhibitions, with expertise in installation, de-installation, and care of artworks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the gallery's founder, managing artist relationships, coordinating exhibitions, and promoting artists' activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with securing and coordinating institutional and offsite exhibitions and projects.
- Managing artist archives and databases, including documentation and condition reporting.
- Scheduling studio visits and coordinating meetings with curators, clients, and press.
- Assisting with marketing and communication, including updating the gallery website and social media.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisation and communication skills, be adaptable to changing demands and deadlines, and have a problem-solving mindset.
The estimated salary for this role is £32,000 - £37,000 per annum, with a 6-month probationary period. Hours of work will be Tuesday-Friday 10:00-18:00, Saturday 12:00-18:00 during exhibitions, with occasional evenings for openings, art fairs, and special events.
