About the Role:

Prospero Teaching seeks an exceptional Mentorship and Support Specialist to join our team in a SEMH school in Wythenshawe. This challenging yet rewarding role requires you to support pupils with additional needs and mental health issues.

In this position, you will act as a mentor and role model, building connections with young people and assisting them in their educational and personal development. You will also work closely with teachers to provide individualized support to pupils, focusing on their academic and emotional growth.

Depending on performance, the school may consider extending the contract or offering a permanent position. A salary of £97 per day will be offered for full-time work (Mon - Fri, term time only).

Key Tasks:

  1. Personal Development Planning: Collaborate with pupils to set and achieve personalized goals, promoting their overall well-being.
  2. Emotional Regulation: Assist pupils in developing strategies to manage their emotions, reducing stress and anxiety.
  3. Role Modelling: Act as a positive role model, demonstrating respect, empathy, and understanding towards pupils.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE Maths and English; computer literate.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
