Job Title: Workshop Controller

Renault Trucks Essex is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to manage a large workshop of technicians. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supervising colleagues and controlling work flow through the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the service department team to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure processes are adhered to at all times.
  • Carry out regular process reviews with the Dealerpoint Manager to identify operational issues and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
  • Manage the performance of the service department to ensure KPI targets are achieved.
  • Manage and plan workshop resources to ensure work requirements are fulfilled on each shift.
  • Support the depot team with job specification, codification, and quoting preparation tasks.
  • Support the customer service team with invoice and claiming closure tasks.
  • Manage the handover of complex or potentially contentious jobs to ensure full buy-in and agreement from the customer.
  • Perform quarterly competence assessments on all technicians and submit to RTC HR in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in commercial and CAT meetings.
  • Manage and process productive wage submission on a monthly basis.
