About the Job

The successful candidate will work closely with academic teams, supporting the submission of research applications and ensuring internal approval processes are followed. This includes managing budgets, updating records, and communicating with funders.

Main Duties

  1. Identify and disseminate funding opportunities to academic colleagues.
  2. Prepare and submit research applications, including budget information and funder requirements.
  3. Setup and manage new awards from funders, including budget reviews and portal completions.
  4. Manage additional awards to existing projects, ensuring accurate costings and documentation.
  5. Prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree level education or equivalent qualifications with significant practical experience.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to write clearly and present information effectively.
  • Knowledge of the UK research funding ecosystem and understanding of key research funders' processes is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is £32,296 to £39,105 per annum, depending on experience. The University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous annual leave, pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities.
