Dental Nurse Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Nurse to join our team at Savernake Dental Practice. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists during various treatment procedures, including implant surgery
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to HTM guidelines
- Help patients feel comfortable and relaxed before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and prepare the surgery for each patient and treatment
- Ensure all equipment and working surfaces are clean and sterilized to the required standards
- Dispose of sharps and clinical waste safely
- Monitor and maintain radiograph processing units
- Provide clinical assistance under the supervision of dentists
- Evaluate patient needs and deal with them promptly and efficiently
- Assist with patient records and maintain accurate documentation
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, liaising with the stock nurse as needed
- Ensure all laboratory work is returned and ready for each session
- Follow practice policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the dental team
- Take reasonable care for own and others' health and safety
- Comply with HTM-01-05, GDC, and CQC requirements
- Undertake CPD in line with GDC guidelines
- Qualification in Dental Nursing (NEBDN or NVQ 3)
- Dental Nurse Registration with the General Dental Council
- Post-qualification experience
- IT literacy, with knowledge of the SOE practice management system an advantage
