About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Quantity Surveying to join our dynamic team within the Faculty of Engineering, Computing & the Environment (ECE) at Kingston University. As a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education and driving forward research in quantity surveying and commercial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach cost planning, commercial management, and the quantification of construction works in accordance with RICS New Rules of Measurement (NRM) and other relevant standards.
  • Contribute to both academic teaching and research, fostering industry partnerships, and mentoring students.
  • Develop and deliver innovative research projects, collaborating with industry and advancing the fields of Construction Management, Building, and Quantity Surveying.

Essential Criteria

  • Good Honours Degree in a relevant subject discipline or equivalent.
  • Fellowship of the Advanced HE (HEA) or willingness to work towards.
  • PhD (or submitted and awaiting examination) or equivalence accepted in a relevant subject area.
