The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Quantity Surveying to join our dynamic team at Kingston University. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and contributing to cutting-edge research in the field of quantity surveying and commercial management.

As a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and advancing research in cost planning and commercial management, quantification of construction works (measurement) in line with the RICS New Rules of Measurement (NRM) and other related standards and guidance. You will also be expected to use digital tools, contract practice and administration, project finance, project feasibility and risk management.

The successful candidate will contribute to both teaching and research excellence, foster industry partnerships, and mentor students at various academic levels. You will be expected to join our dynamic quantity surveying and building surveying team to deliver student-centred, high-quality teaching and research.

The Person

We are looking for an individual with extensive knowledge of quantity surveying related subjects in accordance with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) standards and guidance. You will join our dynamic team, which is part of a department comprising over 30 distinguished academic members of staff. Our department is recognized as a leader among higher education institutions, thanks to our cutting-edge laboratories and state-of-the-art research facilities.

The Faculty of Engineering, Computing & the Environment (ECE) at Kingston University is a world-class faculty that teaches and researches across a wide range of subjects.
