Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering

Job Summary:

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring that costs are managed effectively and that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate commercial aspects of projects, including cost management, value management, and risk management.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that commercial requirements are met.
  • Prepare and issue commercial documents, including contracts, invoices, and payment schedules.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, including changes to scope, delays, and cost overruns.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project returns.
  • Provide commercial support to project teams, including procurement, contract administration, and dispute resolution.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field, such as civil engineering, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a quantity surveying role, preferably in the civil engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
