We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Environmental Health Professional to join our Commercial Team in North East Derbyshire.

The ideal candidate will have professional EHRB or CIEH registration and a proven track record of managing approved food businesses, special treatment registrations, and outdoor events.

Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and providing expert advice to residents and businesses.

You will work closely with our infectious disease control and private water supply monitoring teams to ensure the highest standards of public health are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of approved food businesses, including regular inspections and enforcement actions as necessary
  • Collaborate with external agencies to monitor and respond to outbreaks of infectious disease
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve business process efficiency and effectiveness
  • Liaise with stakeholders to provide expert advice on health and safety matters
What We Offer

In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Our benefits package includes 30 days annual leave (35 days after 5 years service), plus bank holidays and a Christmas close down. You will also receive essential car user allowance and flexible working arrangements.
