Apprenticeship Manager

The University of Brighton

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Apprenticeship Manager to join our Technical Education and Apprenticeships Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational development and delivery of our expanding portfolio of higher and degree apprenticeships.

The Apprenticeship Manager will report to the Head of Apprenticeships and will have line management responsibility for the Apprenticeships Team. The role requires exceptional partnership working skills and a strong understanding of apprenticeship funding rules and regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust business processes and ensuring an excellent customer service is provided to internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of apprenticeships, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employers, training providers, and government agencies.
  • Provide operational management of staff, including performance management, training, and development.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring the effective delivery of apprenticeships.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of managing apprenticeships in a higher education or further education context.
  • Strong understanding of the rapidly evolving policy landscape in skills and technical education.
  • Experience of providing effective operational management of staff in a complex, fast-paced environment.
