**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Tamariki Care Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Child Welfare team, you will play a critical role in supporting caregivers to provide the best possible care for tamariki.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with caregivers to understand their needs and develop strategies to support them.
  • You will be responsible for identifying key issues and developing creative solutions to support caregivers.
  • You will work collaboratively with other agencies, community groups, and providers to ensure the needs of our caregivers are met.

Requirements:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification by the Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB)
  • Full registration with New Zealand's Social Worker Registration Board and an annual practicing certificate
  • Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving techniques
  • Upholding the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and demonstrating this in practice
  • Having a good understanding of section 7(AA) of The Oranga Tamariki Act
  • Passion and vision for caregivers and what they need to succeed
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid and clean New Zealand's driver's license
