About the Role

CV-Library are currently working in collaboration with a mainstream secondary setting to appoint a Student Support Mentor. The job holder will work within the pastoral team to provide support for young people who are presenting challenging behaviour or who are finding it difficult to access mainstream lessons.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and developing resources for coaching and learning support, tracking student progress, and enforcing child protection policies. They will also work with students with additional support needs and use diverse strategies to boost academic growth, confidence, and self-esteem.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement effective learning support plans
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent support for students
• Provide emotional support and guidance to students
• Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies
