Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join the SEN unit within a mainstream school located in the Derby City area.

About the Position:
  1. This role involves providing specialist support to pupils with SEN, both in individual and group settings, to facilitate their learning and development.
  2. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils within the SEN unit.
  3. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
  4. Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies effectively.
Essential Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
  2. A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with pupils.
  3. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  4. A proactive attitude and willingness to support pupils' holistic development, including their social, emotional, and academic progress.
Pay Information:

The estimated salary for this position is between £85.84 and £125.88 per day, based on experience.
