About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior End User Computing (EUC) Technical Specialist to join our public sector client based in London.

The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of EUC technologies and hands-on experience in delivering and supporting complex IT solutions.

  • Deliver day-to-day hands-on support for EUC technologies within the IT services team.
  • Responsible for all EUC technical activities for the Council and ALMO under the guidance of the EUC team leader.
  • Responsible for managing and analysing IT EUC tools, ensuring optimal and cost-effective solutions for business productivity.
  • Complex management of essential IT EUC hardware and software estate, ensuring compliance, governance, version control and clarity of purpose and use.
  • Proactively manage vendors, working closely with IT Procurement partner and participate in vendor, product evaluation and selection for technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Managing relevant projects and BAU support activities.
  • Work with TDA/Systems/M365 leads participating in solutions designs, documenting and presenting these solutions at the weekly Technical Design Authority (TDA) meetings.
  • Responsible for ensuring open incidents and requests are addressed according to SLA.
Key Requirements
  • Experience of managing and provisioning EUC deployments in a large environment with expertise in End User Computing technologies.
  • Experience of provisioning EUC deployments in a large environment.
  • Experience of patching and security processes and techniques and best practice in applying patches to live systems and applications.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with internal IT teams, including Service Desk, Networks, Systems and Applications, internal council or similar business partners, 3rd-party suppliers, and project managers.
