We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nurse to take on a pivotal role in enhancing the physical health and wellbeing of individuals with learning disabilities and autism.

The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with extensive experience in learning disability care, possessing excellent communication and teaching skills. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical health strategy, ensuring equitable access to healthcare services, and supporting the development of health-related care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a physical health strategy for individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure equitable access to primary and secondary health services
  • Support the development of health-related care plans and policies
  • Provide physical health advice and support to service users and staff
  • Facilitate the development of competence in others

Requirements:

  • Registered Learning Disability or General Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Experience in learning disability care and physical health
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel and work varying shifts
