Job Title: Office Administrator

Location: Birmingham

We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to work in a school within the Birmingham area. The successful candidate will manage the school office, ensuring efficient administrative support to the Headteacher and staff, and providing personal assistance to the Headteacher.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the school's administrative functions, including managing the office team and budget.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records, including student data, staff information, attendance records, and school policies.
  • Organize the Headteacher's schedule, including meetings, appointments, and school events.
  • Arrange and prepare meetings for the Headteacher, including taking minutes, preparing agendas, and following up on action points.
  • Assist the Headteacher in managing key projects and initiatives within the school.
  • Help coordinate school events, including parent-teacher meetings, school assemblies, and staff training days.
  • Supervise office staff, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for school inspections, audits, and reports.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a UK school is essential.
  • Extensive experience with school systems is essential.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection regulations in schools.

Must have:

  • A right to work within the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS Child workforce Check – Must be on the update service.
  • 2x Educational References.
