**Job Summary**

Ethan James Group is working on behalf of a large well-respected Facilities Management provider to recruit an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer within the Data Centre sector who would like to further develop their skills within BMS Controls and work on a split day shift in the Operations Control Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical supervision of the operation, maintenance, and repair of all critical environment systems while maintaining 100% uptime to all critical power systems.
  2. Monitor and respond to BMS & EMS alarms for specific sites, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  3. Understand all works being completed in the building that affect the mechanical and electrical infrastructure and/or operations of the site data halls.
  4. Develop and maintain all site mechanical and controls and BMS-related procedures, including EOPs, SOPs, MOPs, ensuring consistency with current client standards.
  5. Provide support as a standby role for shift support if required via line manager.
  6. Make calculated judgments on the sequence of alarms from the monitored data centres.
  7. Escalate any incoming alarms following alarm management matrix, updating the customer service desk and correct on-call handler.
  8. Produce clear and concise updates on actions seen and taken from BMS alarms.
  9. Communicate effectively with vendors upon call-out and when onsite until completion of works.

Requirements:

  1. NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualifications.
  2. Current HV Authorized Person.
  3. 18th edition.
  4. BMS Controls experience.
  5. Lead Engineer experience highly desirable.
