The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is a leading provider of educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Academic Tutor to provide core subject support to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have previous experience teaching Maths, English, and Science - this can be across particular key stages.

Position Details:

  • Location: Southport

  • Hours: Flexible working hours available
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Hourly rate: £25.00-£30.00

Experience, Training, and Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable, however not essential)
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references

Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
