About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Progeny, a leading provider of financial planning, asset management, and legal services. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second-line technical support to our UK office locations, ensuring prompt resolution of IT issues and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of our company platforms, including application support and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, working to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensuring minimal disruption to our business operations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for colleagues seeking technical assistance, providing clear and concise guidance and support.
  • Conduct analysis and diagnosis of technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage multiple open incidents and projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
  • Microsoft MTA and MCP level qualifications, particularly in O365, Windows Desktop or Server.
  • Proven experience working in a similar technical support role, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and network fundamentals.
  • Experience with MS Windows 10, 11, and macOS, as well as MS Server 2016 R2 onwards.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and perform under pressure, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery.
