Senior Practitioner Opportunity

Peterborough City Council, in partnership with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join our integrated mental health service. As an Approved Mental Health Professional, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care and support to adults in the Peterborough area.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to work within our Older People Mental Health Service. You will be responsible for assessing and managing the mental health needs of service users, working collaboratively with carers and partner agencies to promote recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage the mental health needs of service users
  • Work collaboratively with carers and partner agencies to promote recovery and independence
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of service users
  • Provide high-quality care and support to service users
  • Contribute to the development of the service and the improvement of care outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A good working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to promoting recovery and independence
