Join Our Team as a Senior Children Services Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children Services Practitioner to join our team at Peterborough City Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing mental health social work services to adults in the Peterborough City Council area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to provide mental health social work services to adults in the Peterborough City Council area.
  • Collaborate with the acute inpatient and CRHTT services to ensure timely and effective discharge back into the community.
  • Provide support to adults focusing on their strengths and assets, working in a collaborative way with them, their carers, and partner agencies to meet their needs, promote recovery, achieve outcomes, and best value.
  • Apply a social perspective to your work and keep social care issues current in your practice to help promote independence and recovery.
  • Participate in the training of new Social Workers through our links with Universities in the Degree and the MA in Social Work and also the ASYE, and work as Practice Educators.
