Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Care Professional to join our Forensic Aftercare Mental Health Team as a senior community support worker.
This is a brand new post, with a fixed term of 6 months, offering the chance to develop and evaluate the role.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist our community psychiatric nurses in assessing, planning, managing, and evaluating the delivery of care in a community setting to individuals with complex mental health needs and significant forensic histories.

Key Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of QCF Level 3 (formerly NVQ Level 3) in Health or willingness to complete within an agreed timeframe.
- Significant experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a Forensic Mental Health role.
- Previous relevant experience in specialty is desirable.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Evidence of maintaining personal development.
- Demonstrates understanding of the role's scope in the context of the nursing team.
- Experience working in Forensic Mental Health care settings.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales.
- Understanding of basic physiology and principles of confidentiality, consent, and safeguarding.

Salary
We estimate the salary for this position to be around £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
