Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Youth Care Professional to join our team as a permanent Children in Care Social Worker.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the voice of the child is always heard and that the best outcomes are achieved for every young person in our care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Casework Management: Managing a caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and stability.
  • Support and Advocacy: Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and carers to advocate for their needs and ensure their voices are heard in all decision-making processes.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working alongside colleagues from various professions, including health and education, to deliver tailored care plans.
  • Safeguarding: Ensuring that all statutory responsibilities are met, with a focus on child protection and improving the quality of life for children in care.
  • Professional Development: Engaging in training and development opportunities to continuously improve your practice and support your career growth.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must hold a degree in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England. You should also have experience working with children and families, particularly in a social work setting.

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this position is £41,300 - £51,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
