Quality Lineside Engineer Opportunity at Airbus UK Broughton

A challenging role has arisen in the Quality Team at Airbus UK Broughton for a Quality Lineside Engineer to support the evaluation, coordination, and monitoring of achieved levels of conformity in the product, process, and services provided by the Business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide specialist Quality support and advice on drawings, parts, processes, and support services, and to independently assure that Quality requirements have been met.
  2. Ensure that the Quality system is being adhered to within the business by the business through surveillance activities.
  3. Ensure that certification processes are consistently defined and applied within the business.
  4. Coordinate and lead reported quality/technical issues from teams and customers, ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive action is taken by the accountable function through multifunctional team activities and that the originator of the issue is informed.
  5. Perform initial investigations (e.g., Events, QLB's, NC's) to assess probable root cause, informing the accountable function and ensuring corrective and preventative action is taken (ambition is within one shift) preventative action to be taken through problem-solving analysis through multifunctional team activities.
  6. Conduct investigations to assess the probable root cause of any deficiency noted during process confirmation activities, informing the accountable function, and ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken.
  7. Compile and present Quality overview to the leadership team within the business area.
Required Skillset
  1. Ability to interpret drawings.
  2. Ability to problem solve and use associated problem-solving tool sets (PPS, 5Y, Ishikawa etc).
  3. Good interpersonal skills - ability to challenge appropriately whilst maintaining strong relationships.
  4. Data analysis skills - interpret data sets, graphical data and draw conclusions.
  5. Work well as part of an integrated team alongside operational and cross-functional team members.
  6. Quality or engineering based background (desirable) within a major manufacturing industry.
