We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team at P3CL, a leading offsite modular building specialist based in East Yorkshire. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers, ensuring their IT needs are met with the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide first and second-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and chat.
- Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, and corrective steps taken.
- Build and configure laptops, mobile phones, and iPads to meet customer requirements.
- Manage and maintain the asset database, ensuring costs are controlled and items are fully accounted for.
- Identify and report potential security risks to the Service Desk Manager.
- Attend educational programs and workshops to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Work flexible day-shift patterns and contribute to strategic projects as identified by the Service Desk Manager.
- 3-5 years of experience in a customer-facing support role, preferably in the technology sector.
- Hands-on, flexible, and proactive approach with a willingness to learn.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Good working knowledge of MS Windows and ideally Workplace-specific.
- Understanding of Windows Server, MS Exchange, and AD (Users and Computers).
- Good working knowledge and support of wireless technologies.
- Experience with mobile device and application management across Microsoft, Apple, and Android platforms.
- ITIL Foundation Certified (desirable).
- Air Watch Mobile Device Management (desirable).
- Full driving license and access to own transport.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Annual bonus scheme of up to 12.5% (discretionary and based on personal and company performance).
