Medical Operations Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Medical Operations Director to join our team at Royal Caribbean Group. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for providing medical support to our shipboard medical teams, as well as liaising with senior level colleagues in hotel and maritime operations, local and regional government officials, and leaders of other external organizations, as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical advisory services to shipboard doctors across all Royal Caribbean Group brands.
- Guide shipboard doctors on the procedures to evacuate a person from a ship, including the coordination of care and treatment support.
- Participate in the review process of surgical treatments for crew members, ensuring appropriate clinical documentation and explanation of need for the requested surgical procedure.
- Support crew wellness programs and provide regular, periodic on-call coverage for the helpline in support of the shipboard medical teams.
- Collaborate with the shoreside Public Health team to provide medical consultation and guidance to shipboard medical teams for onboard crew infectious diseases cases and outbreaks.
- Licensed Medical Doctor with at least 10 years of experience as a medical practitioner.
- Experience as a shipboard Senior Doctor for at least 5 years is preferred.
- Familiarity and comfort with data collection, review, and analysis.
- Ability to motivate multifunctional teams and lead remotely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin.
