Reconciliation Team Supervisor

About the Role:
Northern Trust is a leading financial institution seeking a skilled Reconciliation Team Lead to oversee the Reconciliations and Distribution Reconciliation teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of Senior Analysts and Technical Coordinators, ensuring timely and accurate completion of reconciliation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all reconciliation activities are processed as per Service Level Agreements (SLA), including production and dispatch of CASS Reconciliations packs.
- Comply with regulations, specifically CASS and client-specific processing requirements, including Client Money oversight and control.
- Oversee the document management process, ensuring reconciliations tasks are processed and reviewed into the workflow system accurately and timely.
- Maximize scalability through the use of onshore and offshore locations and multi-function teams.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the offshore TA team.
- Maintain close working relationships with other areas, such as Settlements, Dealing, CSMs, and internal departments.
- Analyze monthly management information to address quality issues at individual process, team, or management company levels.
- Work with teams to evaluate and implement changes in proposed new regulations and ensure compliance with current requirements.
- Liaise with clients regarding Service and Service Level Agreements.
- Be the main contact point for Reconciliation-related activities, including audits, projects, and client on-boarding.
- Ensure segregation of duties controls are in place at all times.
- Provide management and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
- Responsible for staff development, recruitment, appraisals, one-to-ones, and retention.
