About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our Single Point of Access team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the efficient running of the team, processing and managing referrals, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with a range of people, either in person or on the telephone, promptly and in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure that complex calls from anxious and distressed clients are passed to appropriate staff members to deal with effectively and appropriately.
  • Respond to enquiries and take appropriate action on behalf of the service, either by telephone or correspondence, within agreed time limits.
  • Manage and maintain an efficient administrative system on behalf of others.
  • Draft general correspondence on behalf of the service.
  • Accurately produce reports, correspondence, and documents from a variety of sources.
  • Work without supervision and ensure urgent situations are addressed swiftly.
  • Ensure workload is managed and prioritised appropriately.
  • Establish and maintain electronic and manual filing systems.
  • Type letters generated by the service.
  • Input generic data into organisational systems or in-house records.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Qualification in administration NVQ level 2-4.
  • 1-2 years administrative experience.
  • Excellent IT skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the NHS.
