About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team at Amazon. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations professionals to ensure the smooth running of our sites and the efficient fulfillment of customer orders.

Your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining a culture of safety and quality, while also driving process improvements and streamlining operations to meet customer demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Quality: Create and oversee a culture of safety and wellbeing, ensuring that all site operations are conducted in a safe and healthy environment.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and implement changes to keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to drive efficiency.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve operational excellence.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices and ensure consistency across the organization.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in operations management. You will have a proven track record of leading teams and driving process improvements, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

You will be a natural leader, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Requirements
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as business, operations management, or logistics.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in people management, with a strong background in operations management.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean and Six Sigma: Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, with a strong understanding of process improvement methodologies.
  • Logistics Experience: Experience working in another logistics environment, with a strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics operations.
  • MS Office: Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
