Job Title: Weighbridge and Security Operative

Cory Group is seeking a skilled Weighbridge and Security Operative to join their team at their Energy from Waste Facility in Belvedere.

The facility generates c.525,000MWh of electricity each year from processing c.800,000 tonnes of waste, using the River Thames as a green highway to move waste from London on tugs and barges, effectively removing 100,000 truck movements a year off roads.

The successful candidate will provide an important function that directly contributes to the daily working and smooth running of the Riverside EfW Facility through various operational duties and responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the health, safety, and security of the site
  • Ensure site compliance with Environmental Legislation
  • Manage plant and equipment, including weighbridge inspections and defect reporting
  • Control the end-to-end process of weighbridge movements
  • Compile waste input records, consumable deliveries, site daily diary, and other weighbridge-related records as required
  • Oversee the site induction process and creation of site access cards
  • Perform site inductions for contractors, delivery drivers, and visitors
  • Manage internal and external communication and documentation
  • Oversight of tanker loading/unloading of powdered operational consumables
