The Licensing Executive will play a crucial role in driving commercial growth and engaging fans with Formula 1 through strategic partnerships with brand partners.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management: Assist in managing key consumer product licensees across various categories, including gaming equipment, toys & collectibles, apparel & accessories, personal care, and publishing.
- Business Development: Work with internal teams to support licensees, ensure revenue growth, and develop new partnership opportunities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with F1 teams, external stakeholders, and internal departments to maximize licensing programme opportunities.
- Program Development: Support the development of the Licensing programme to achieve key objectives in fan engagement and revenue growth.
- Licensee Management: Manage key licensees across consumer products, including product approvals, launches, financial reporting, logistics, and key partner relations.
- Commercial Objectives: Develop a deep understanding of partner delivery timelines, commercial objectives, growth strategies, and KPIs.
- Team Support: Support the wider team in agreeing new partnerships and renewals.
- Financial Management: Manage the CP licensing budget, forecasting, collection of royalty reports, and invoicing for all CP licensees.
- Administrative Responsibilities: Oversee the upkeep of the Licensee/Prospect tracker, processing of internal and external F1 product orders, and other ad-hoc requests.
- Product Development: Work with internal teams to identify fan engagement opportunities, track performance, and monitor success.
- Collateral Production: Produce presentations and other materials to monitor licensee performance and present to prospects.
- Industry Knowledge: Remain up to date with the latest industry developments and best practices.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the brand licensing industry, ideally working on consumer products.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Relationship Management: Excellent relationship management skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
- Independent Work: Able to work independently and proactively to source new opportunities for licensees.
- Industry Understanding: Detailed understanding of the sports / entertainment licensing industry.
- Commercial Partnerships: Understanding of commercial partnerships and licensing business models.
- People Skills: Natural people skills with a high level of empathy and the ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
