Company Overview

As the largest licensing authority in England, we regulate and license over a third of all taxi and private hire vehicle services in London.

We are looking for a Policy and Licensing Specialist to join our team, who will be responsible for researching, drafting, and presenting changes to vehicle licensing policies and standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working effectively with complex stakeholders, interpreting legislation, and implementing effective measures to improve equality, inclusion, and safety.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for part-time work available. We offer a range of benefits including a final salary pension scheme, free travel on the TfL network, and 30 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays.

Salary: £52,000 (estimated)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience within the automotive industry of vehicle repair/fleet operations.
  • Memberships of relevant industry and professional bodies.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, ideally in a licensing authority or other large public authority.
  • Proven ability in working effectively with complex stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with and interpreting legislation.
  • Experience of implementing effective measures to improve equality, inclusion, and safety.
