About the Role

Barclay Simpson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Operational Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the ERM framework, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead risk assessments, monitor key risks, and collaborate with senior management to drive effective risk mitigation strategies across the Group.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide training on risk management principles and stay updated on emerging risks.
  • Lead risk assessment workshops and present risk analysis to senior management.
Requirements
  • Deep technical expertise in risk management, including risk appetite, key risk indicators, and risk taxonomy.
  • Proven experience in financial services risk management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information at Board level.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of leading multiple projects.
