Job Title: Director In-Business Risk

At Aztec, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director In-Business Risk to join our Risk Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. ERM Framework Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and mature a robust ERM framework that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  2. Risk Assessments and Reviews: Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of our risk framework to Aztec's risk profile.
  3. Risk Identification and Monitoring: Identify, assess, and monitor key risks across the Group, including operational, financial, legal, regulatory, compliance, and strategic risks.
  4. Risk Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to senior management and other stakeholders on risk management practices.
  5. Risk Mitigation Strategies: Partner with Risk Managers to drive the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize identified risks.
  6. Risk Training and Awareness: Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management principles and practices.
  7. Industry Trends and Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on relevant industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure our risk framework remains current and effective.
  8. Risk Assessment Workshops: Lead risk assessment workshops with senior stakeholders across business functions.
  9. Risk Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present risk reports and analysis to senior management.
  10. Risk Taxonomy Development: Play a leading role in the development of Aztec's risk taxonomy, including Level III risk development.
  11. Risk Management Policies: Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  12. GRC System Implementation: Support the implementation of a GRC system.
  13. Risk Business Partnering: Support the implementation of risk business partnering and act as a business partner for key Group functions.
Requirements:
  1. Deep Technical Knowledge: Deep technical knowledge and expertise in risk management, including risk appetite, key risk indicators, risk and control assessments, incident and issues management, and risk taxonomy development.
  2. Advanced Presentation Skills: Advanced presentation skills, including the use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  3. Commercial Acumen: Ability to interpret and balance commercial issues within the confines of the risk management framework.
  4. Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel and Word, and an aptitude for analytics.
  5. Relevant Experience: Demonstrable relevant prior experience, preferably within a financial services environment.
  6. Results-Oriented: Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of prioritizing and organizing workloads and leading multiple projects and risk management activities.
  7. Regulatory Knowledge: Working understanding of regulatory concepts.
  8. Travel Requirements: May be required to travel to other Group locations as required from time to time.
